Our “Go Green” Mission & Building Systems

For several decades we have worked to design and build some of the most attractive and energy efficient homes possible. 

A key focus has always been the use of applications employing “environmentally friendly” technologies into our residential structures,

capable of providing a safe living environment while at the same time reducing energy consumption and lowing global toxic emissions. 

As the level of awareness has increased for each person on Planet Earth to do one's part in preserving nature’s precious recourses,

we too at White Eagle have committed to do all that we can to make this effort a part of our company’s mission. 

Today we continue to offer high quality green building and sustainable remodeling choices for the eco-conscious consumer

with the best interests of mankind and of the environment in mind.

Timber Commitment In Our Home Materials Packages

Since the 1970’s we have been active in building beautiful log and timber framed homes. 

Reforestation programs involving planting a tree for every tree harvested, as well as the use of standing dead timber

and other responsible acts of good stewardship of precious timber materials are important considerations. 

White Eagle continues to be very mindful of good resource stewardship as we carefully select the materials we offer in our home packages.

Energy Performance

For decades we have worked with a variety of high performance products.  Foam insulation is one of the materials our homes have benefited from. 

Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs) are one key technology because they provide an ultra-efficient, high mass, high strength, and very durable building shell

that keeps occupants healthy and comfortable.  For ICF home and foundation applications, White Eagle offers the exceptional Quad-Lock ICF product lines.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) established the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) Rating System

for many types of buildings.  LEED evaluates environmental performance from a "whole building" perspective over

 a building's life cycle (cradle-to-grave), providing a standard to measure and improve a buildings sustainability.

Quad-Lock is a member of the USGBC and has a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED-AP) on staff who can consult customers on LEED certification.

LEED Rating Primer

The LEED-NC 2009 rating system has six main credit categories:

1) Energy and Atmosphere; 2) Sustainable Sites; 3) Innovation & Design; 4) Indoor Environmental Quality; 5) Materials and Resources; 6) Regional Priority.

Within each category, points are awarded for meeting specific criteria. All points are totaled up to determine the level of LEED certification.

Using Quad-Lock ICFs and concrete can achieve up to 45 LEED points.

Other Foam Applications White Eagle Building Systems Offer Include:

1) foam roof insulation panels; 2) foam in SIPS panels; 3) framed structures sprayed with foam in each framed wall, roof, and perimeter band cavity.

Other products directly used related to lowering energy consumption include high performance windows, tankless hot water heaters,

dual flush toilets, solar collection, geothermal HVAC, radiant floor heating, Energy Star rated appliances, Energy Star rated

heat reflective standing seam metal roofing (see also Metal Roofs and Buildings) and diverse other "green certified" products.

One of our preferred "Go Green" products is the Warmboard® radiant subfloor system, the best technology of this type available anywhere as we know.

Healthy Home Environment - Conservation Of Natural Resources

fresh air and air purification, water purification, energy efficient lighting and other such considerations are all a part of our "Go Green" selections.
