Featured Plans 5: MillCrafted Designs

Although many of the plans from White Eagle's Yankee Handcrafted Series are on the larger scale in size, we also design and

construct structures in all sizes, according the the requests we receive from our clients.

On this page we would like to feature two of our smaller plans, shown in our MillCrafted Western Series 10" log option.

Please find The Patzau Prairie, an attractive 2 bedroom design, and The Drafting Cottage, a small little plan with a very big look.

By request, we will also supply these designs in our handcrafted log or log post and beam, other various

The Patzau Prairie

Plan Description, The Patzau Prairie

1,557 square foot of finished space on two levels, and including:

An open floor plan for the great room, kitchen, and dining area, looking up to the upper loft.

An attractive main level master bedroom and a second bedroom.

A "Jack & Jill" shared bath.

An additional half bath, or walk in pantry option.

Exposed log purlins, log girders, and log floor joists.

Interior log walls for both bedrooms.

Mortised and tenoned log hand railings for the porch and for the open loft balcony.

A spacious wrap around deck.

A stoned fireplace, lots of gabled glass, and more!

This plan is appealing for any rustic setting, and as a primary or secondary residence.

Bold lines and large scale MillCrafted log work are at the heart of this design.

MillCrafted logs precisely milled to 10" diameters, with an authentic draw knife finish.

The Drafting Cottage

Plan Description, The Drafting Cottage

770 square foot of finished space on three levels, and including:

An open study and stoned fireplace on the main level, looking up to the second level loft/office area.

An upper loft office and sitting area.

A lower level bath and storage room.

A full wrap around porch, featuring curve cut knee braces and a king post truss in front of the entry.

Mortised and tenoned log hand railings for the porch and for the open loft balcony.

Lots of charm and practicality, ideal for many applications requiring a small foot print and high impact!

Package Description, The Drafting Cottage

Scandinavian full scribe log work, and in the client's choice of Spruce, Douglas Fir, or Western Red Cedar log walls.

Logs expertly fit, diameters average 12"-14", with butts often 20" or more.

3 Great Options: Choose from our

(1) Western Series MillCrafted log option.

(2) full scribe Handcrafted log option, or

(3) full scribe Handcrafted log post & beam option (see below).

Western Series MillCrafted log shell package, including all precut and prebuilt log walls, log floor joists, log girders,

log roof purlins, log stairs, log railings, curled corners detail, throughbolts, insulation, posts, settling jacks, and more.

Special Features

Wood species is beautiful Engelmann Spruce or Lodgepole Pine.

(1) Western Series MillCrafted log options include any available round diameter up to 19".

Exceptionally long lengths of logs are also available upon request!

(2) Full Scribe Handcrafted log shell package, including all Scandinavian full scribe precut and prebuilt log walls, log floor joists,

log girders, log roof purlins, log stairs, log railings, curled corners detail, throughbolts, insulation, posts, settling jacks, and more.

(3) Full Scribe Handcrafted Log Post & Beam log shell package, including all Scandinavian full scribe precut and prebuilt log posts,

log headers, log floor joists, log girders, log roof purlins, log stairs, log railings, insulation, posts, settling jacks, and more. Special Features: These logs

are supplied in our 12" - 14" diameter and full length, with NO butt joints! Wood species is Engelmann Spruce or Lodgepole Pine, and very dry.
